Reliant Enterprise Communications Ltd. was founded in 2003 to take advantage of newly deregulated telecommunications opportunities in Jamaica. Our primary focus today is the termination of International Incoming Calls to the country and we have achieved a 12% market share and number one position in the CLEC market in Jamaica.
Reliant has an experienced team in domestic and International telecommunications headed by Steve Twomey who was the Senior Vice President of Mobile Technology for Cable & Wireless Jamaica.
Reliant’s goal is to build a Broadband Wireless Network based on WiMax standards to serve the Commercial market and large underserved residential market in Jamaica. We intend to position the company as the premier Broadband service provider for the underserved, unserved, Commercial, SME and SOHO markets in Jamaica and expanding to other Caribbean countries in the future. Internet penetration rates are 10% and fixed line rates at 20%, which provides a significant market opportunity for the company. We intend to achieve early profitability by offering services currently not available due to lack of facilities or technology and secure a strong market position. We will provide value to our customers at an affordable price and a level of quality, service and reliability not seen in today’s marketplace.
